The AOG course is a nine day program that can launch you right into assisting on multi day sea kayak expeditions! Start with foundational skills and become proficient at making safe, responsible decisions, dealing with dynamic situations and camping and spectacular places while learning to embrace challenging West Coast conditions.

Whether you want to work as a professional kayak guide or just enhance your knowledge and skills for yourself and community this program is right up your surge channel!

Throughout the nine days, we will become proficient paddlers in strokes, rescues techniques, navigation, group management, communication and camp craft. We will practice leadership scenarios and dynamics situations, surf landings/launches, paddling in and open ocean swells. We get stoked on learning about weather, tides and currents, environmental and cultural awareness, and just getting amongst it while learning from our observations and experiences!

Learning can begin once fully paid and registered for our program. You will be given access to our online campus which will ensure that you have the baseline theoretical knowledge prior to the practical part of the course.

All camping and membership fees are included in this course
Transportation not included
Camping gear is not provided unless rented
Kayaks/Immersion/Paddle Equipment available to rent

First four days, food will be your own responsibility
Last five days meals will be a shared responsibility in which we will assign meals one week prior to the course.
